Fantasia Suite in
China will consist of concerts, presentations, and
master classes taking place in Beijing and Shanghai from
May 18-27, 2008 including an appearance in Beijing on
May 22nd and Shanghai on May 23rd, specially hosted by
Jim Morrison, Head of Hines in Asia.
Carter's promotions in China
is part of an international tour of the major cities of
Europe and Asia featuring Fantasia Suite.

Larsen initiated the opening
fundraiser for the newly formed Malibu Symphony
Orchestra by a performance of Fantasia Suite to a full
house. Supporters include Terrance Davis, Chairman and
Laura Gillespie, President of the Malibu Symphony
Association.

As part of the promotion of
Fantasia Suite in Hollywood and podcasts are
star-studded with celebrity hosts and MCs as well as
L.A.'s fashion elite. Fantasia Suite in Hollywood
will be presented by producer Sheryl Carlin, head of
music production and licensing at Paramount-Dreamworks.
Producer/director Frank Capello will head all film
production and direct podcasts as Fantasia Suite's
Head of L.A. Operations.
Larsen is booked for future
performances including:
- June 23, 2008:
Charity international press conference and
presentation with piano auction to benefit Operation
of Hope fundraiser at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
- July 27, 2008:
“Fashion Fantasia” - “Fantasia Suite meets the
Runway” in a spectacular of fashion models,
choreographed dancers, and Fantasia Suite’s
Neo-Romanticism in Beverly Hills produced and
directed by Frank Capello.
- September 27, 2008:
Fantasia Suite at Pepperdine University.
- October 4, 2008:
Operation of Hope gala " A Night of Smiles" at the
Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
- October 25, 2008:
Opening of the Malibu Symphony Orchestra season six
part series featuring Carter Larsen and Fantasia
Suite at the Malibu Jewish Center and Synagogue to
celebrate Larsen’s new position as Music Director.

Larsen has been commissioned
to write a piece for the inaugural concert of the Malibu
Symphony Orchestra states President Laura Gillespie, “We
are honored to commission a composer of his stature and
extremely privileged to have Carter Larsen as an active
and supportive resident of the Malibu community. We
consider him to be our own living national treasure.”
The commission will premiere at the inaugural concert in
the Malibu Synagogue on October 25, 2008.

Frank Capello will be
directing and producing three films built on the music
of Fantasia Suite. The first of which, "Last Full
Measure Devotion", is inspired by the thematic material
and message behind Fantasia Suite.
Capello's recent film, "He's
a Quiet Man", was released to critical acclaim in
November 2007 and recently released on DVD January 15,
2008.

Seven compositions from Fantasia Suite were presented by Carter Larsen on July 27, 2006 in Santa Monica at the private home of arts patron Kara Fox. The standing room only event was chaired by Andrea Van de Kamp, Chairman Emeritus of the Music Center of Los Angeles.

Larsen was further celebrated on September 20, 2006 with the launch of an international series at Pepperdine University featuring his magnum opus, Fantasia Suite. Six performers included one masters and two doctoral candidates from the University of Southern California, featuring Aaron McClaskey. The sold out evening, introduced by Catherine Goldwyn, was recorded live.

Larsen will produce a commercial recording of twelve compositions from Fantasia Suite, performed by Korean born, prize winning international concert pianist Aaron Mc Claskey and co-produced and engineered by James Richter this spring.

Carter is scoring Martin Scorsese's new film, "Something To Believe In", featuring the Dalai Lama, directed by Bonnie Palef and executive produced by Martin Scorsese. The film deals with issues of man's spiritual consciousness on a global level.

Larsen scored the film "The Innocents Mission", starring Phillip Van Dyke with director Eric Tetrault, which premiered at Sundance. As the composer, Carter Larsen attended preliminary screenings.

Shooting of Larsen's new video of Fantasia Suite, "Bridges and Beyond", performer TBA, directed by Enrico Bengivenga, and produced by Carter Larsen is set to start filming in summer, 2008.
