Fantasia Suite has been consistently heralded around the world: Andrea Van de Kamp, Chairman Emeritus of the Music Center in Los Angeles, declares: “Fantasia Suite is the music of the future. Larsen is creating a breakthrough with his twenty-first century Neo-Romantic approach. He has embraced the summation of our classical culture in music, while exploding into another dimension of creativity.

Gypsy’s Waltz

The Independent exalted “his torrents of notes, lush harmonies and gorgeous melodies.”

The Guardian praised his “delicacy, taste and smooth continuity of line broken only for dramatic effect. Larsen’s romantic sensibilities were evident throughout.”

The Daily Telegraph was particularly impressed with his “fluency and panache”.

Christopher Grier of the Evening Standard lauded his “formidable technique with which to back his fancies”.

London critic Christopher Wood puts it best Larsen has seamlessly bridged the worlds of performing and composing as well as classical and cinema”. “Here is a composer with European sensibilities and yet a natural affinity with the world of Hollywood”.

Call Of The Warriors

Conductor Interview

Twenty-first century American pianist and composer Carter Larsen made his name in mid 1980′ with his spirited performances in Europe of the High Romantics.

Since 1973 he has composed more than 400 pieces: 7 Solo Piano Volumes, 5 Piano Concertos, 4 Two Pianos Volumes and 24 Symphonies.

These substantial compositions of “Fantasia Suite”,  “The Cosmos Symphonic Suite” and “The Symphonies on The Lake” for Piano, Two Pianos, Piano and Orchestra and Symphonies as captured in these CD’s, LP’s and DVD’s establish Larsen as one of today’s most prolific living composers.

Larsen’s New Romantic compositions represent a continuous cycle of romantic, yet classically written music in a bold, new contemporary idiom. Larsen has seamlessly bridged the worlds of performing and composing as well as classical and cinema.

General Manager of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Ian McClay, confirms, “As the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has always represented the highest standard of artistic excellence, we are enthusiastic to play a major role in the worldwide promotion of “The Cosmos Symphonic Suite”

Jean Cossetto calls Carter Larsen “The Last of the Romantics” and Sheryl Carlin of Paramount Studio’s Music Department defines Larsen as “the Chopin of our age.”

Scott Epstein sums it up “Carter Larsen composes music for our age that is personal, deeply felt, and sophisticated. Resisting conventional labels, his music pursues its own path with intense inspiration. Larsen is a composer for our times.”
